Lots of fun and sonic collage in the studio yesterday, working on the final bits of production for the up coming EP by
Chants, drones, bells, breathes & field recordings all adding to the atmosphere & enhancing the narrative.
Now onto mixing 🤘🏻💪🏻

When I hear a door with an interesting squeak, I gotta sample it! front door has quite a fun squeak with a slightly avant-garde style. Comprised of four main ‘expressions’ I was instantly captivated. People come from all over the City just to hear it for themselves - often venturing inside the venue to experience more of the sonic delights it has to offer. The green room door has a particularly classic sounding squeal. A dash of reverb and you’re in horror movie territory. Do check it out - but not during a show of course.

How much pre-production do you do?? A proper good chat with the artist about their goals, vision & inspirations is super important.
Production is underway on the fourth song I’ve worked on with - who is both clear & on point with her explanations and trusting of me to translate them into music & sound.
Whether I can create FKA Twigs level production is another question that doesn’t need answering 😆😝
