Nothing like a bit of delayed gratification,eh?!😅
Welcome to the second instalment of Shrunk Junk. A-just-for-fun challenge where we transform things found around the house into tiny treasures.
I saved some of my fave flowers from a Valentines bouquet (chosen with my little👩‍👧) and had some fun decorating a personal project, still very much a WIP but I love how it turned out!

Show me yours, I’ll show you mine!

No 1. Challenge | Festive leftovers
I really enjoyed the challenge of making something new with zero spend this week. These were all super quick and I made most of them in the same 2 hours while my daughter was visiting her Dad. Some much needed dollshouse therapy! 💕

Shout out to for the chocolate coin gold foil inspo! ♻️🫶🏻

So what were the results this week?!
Super quick, bordering on lazy🤣, mini-makes. Which tbh are exactly what I needed to kick start the creative juices after a long break from doing anything crafty and not get too stuck on it needing to be “perfect”.

1. Canapé stick + cork holiday ornament
2. Gold foil wall ornaments + bowl
3. Cork slice trivet
4. Kinder egg container serving dish (to be continued!)
5. Party popper planter (to be continued!)

I’ve still got plans for the party popper shell and the kinder egg capsule, but they’re both a work in progress so pop back next week. ✂️

Apologies for the radio silence - not helped by email outage! This should be resolved by end of the week.

Refunds are still being processed, 90 more to go! I have had to, unavoidably, pause September refunds. Winding the magazine down has proven a much bigger challenge than I’d anticipated but I am still working hard to get this resolved for everyone. Thanks for your patience and I’m extremely sorry for any frustration caused.

Refunds for 2025 subscriptions.

It’s been a minute, and I want to start by apologising for the radio silence. I know many of you have attempted to contact me regarding your 2025 subscriptions and have not received timely responses, if any, and I’m incredibly sorry for the disappointment. Please be reassured that all customers will be fully refunded for any outstanding orders.

It is taking me longer than I had hoped, and for transparency, it’s taking months rather than weeks, but we will get there! I wish there was a faster solution (and please trust that I’ve explored all my available options!) For now, the remaining print magazines are back with me - out of the warehouse, and proceeds from those magazines and any digital sales go straight to refunding subscribers.

I’m currently refunding in weekly batches in the chronological order of purchase. You should receive a cancellation notification once your refund has been processed. If you are in urgent need of your refund, please contact me with your order number at: [email protected]

This is not the note that I wanted to close the print magazine on, and I’m very sorry to have let so many of you down this way. Thank you for your overwhelming support and patience.

It’s easy for this news to feel like a failure, but I’m so happy I got to do this for as long as possible!

Happy Holidays!!
We’re looking forward to a few more days of seasonal hiatus before Issue 9 gets underway and itching to get some mini-making done for new years!

When Erica and I were discussing issue 8 content we ended up on a little tangent about when people take down their tree! Erica’s moss tree is a gorgeous addition to her New Years apartment scene, inside issue 8. But I know some people like to clear out as early as the 26th?! So, when you do take down your tree (real, or mini!)? Is it already packed away ready to usher in a fresh 2025? Or do you leave it up way into January?
