14 days until surgery. I could go quiet and disappear for a bit, or I could let you in on what this actually looks like - the fear, the admin, the weirdly mundane bits like packing socks for a hospital stay. Iโ€™m choosing the second one. Not because I have it together, but because I didnโ€™t have anyone showing me this when I needed it. So here we go ๐Ÿ™

Sometimes the question changes everything.

Not โ€œwhy is this happening to me?โ€
But โ€œwhat can I learn from this?โ€

Iโ€™m not saying I have all the answers. And Iโ€™m definitely not saying you have to find a โ€œlessonโ€ in everything difficult that happens to you.

But Iโ€™ve realised I canโ€™t always control what happens to meโ€ฆ I can choose how I respond to it.

Some days that looks like strength.
Some days it looks like crying.
Some days itโ€™s simply getting through the day and being there for my little one.

And honestly? Iโ€™m learning to give myself permission for all of it. ๐Ÿฉท

If youโ€™re going through something you never expected, maybe this is your reminder that you donโ€™t have to have it all figured out today.

Sometimes I look at my baby and wonder how someone so ridiculously adorable can also be so deeply committed to ruining my last nerve ๐Ÿ˜‚
