Had a wonderful time at the office in London yesterday, hosting their first ever Fireside Chat on LinkedIn live! I had the pleasure of hosting and interviewing the Increadible learning all about ‘the business mindset’ and how to keep going when times get tough. My company supplied the equipment for the production, with live streaming a huge passion of mine that I’m honoured I could provide to IPSE. Can’t wait for the next!

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned as a freelancer is just saying “yes”.

When you’re starting out, every opportunity might feel small or uncertain—but behind it could be your next new client, project or whole direction as a freelancer.

Freelancing doesn’t come with a roadmap. Sometimes the best way forward is to step into the unknown and trust that each “yes” creates momentum. Every door I’ve opened by saying yes has led to another one I didn’t even know existed.

When I was starting out at uni I didn’t know it but saying ‘yes’ to trying to run a live stream for the university student TV station has almost entirely shaped my career today (if you didn’t know I am madly in love with multi-camera and live streaming 🤪).

So if you’re on the fence about an opportunity, project or offer —remember, the simple act of saying yes might be what unlocks your next chapter.

🏇 Excited to share the highlights reel I made for the iconic Goodwood Festival! I had the privilege of managing live broadcast feeds and turning them into fast-turnaround VT packages — from race recaps to arrivals and pre-recorded features.
Using Adobe Premiere Pro and a DreamCatcher, I captured every key moment and ensured seamless transitions for the live broadcast — it’s always rewarding to see the final edit bring the event to life! Check out the reel and relive the action!

As a freelancer, I’ll admit—I often forget to take a proper break.
It’s easy to stay stuck in that constant ‘always on’ mode, with the to-do list never really ending.

But this Friday was different. I had the absolute pleasure of visiting The Greatest Gathering in Derby—a truly special event celebrating 200 years of railways in Britain. Over 100 locomotives were brought together for one incredible weekend at the maintenance depot.

As a lifelong railway enthusiast, calling this event “awesome” feels like an understatement!

It reminded me how important it is to step away sometimes and just enjoy the things that light you up.
