It's great to see Director Cherno Jagne gaining so much exposure for his film 'The Backway', across BBC Radio 4 and Channel 4 news this week.
Cherno had a great, personal story to tell, but was so new to directing that he didn't even realise Sound Post-Production was an aspect of film-making until he was wrapped on production.
So it was particularly satisfying for us to meet with him, discuss his creative aims and guide him through to a final mix. We fully supervised the soundtrack, from dialogue edit and foley recording to sound design and mix and were all really pleased with the results.
This is the kind of collaboration we love, so hopefully there will be more opportunities in future.

First time director Cherno Jagne has written, produced and starred in “The Backway” - a film that centres the experience of an economic migrant who was illegally smuggled out of the Gambia, and then deported back “home” from the UK just a couple years later.
