"The Connaught Tiara", also known as the "Forget-Me-Not Tiara", is one of the most iconic jewels of the Swedish royal family.
Created by the jeweler E. Wolff & Co. for Garrard in 1904, it was a wedding gift for Princess Margaret of Connaught (granddaughter of Queen Victoria) when she married the future King Gustav VI Adolf of Sweden in 1905.

💫Design and Features
This piece stands out for its romantic Edwardian-style floral design.

🥦Floral Motifs: It features five diamond garlands representing forget-me-not flowers.

💎Diamond Drops: From each garland hangs a pear-shaped diamond drop that swings with the wearer's movements.

💫Versatility:
The tiara is convertible; it can be detached from its setting to be worn as a choker necklace. In addition, the diamond pendants can be removed and worn independently as earrings or on other necklaces.

💫History and Owners
After Princess Margaret's death in 1920, the jewel passed to her son, Prince Gustaf Adolf, who gave it to his wife, Princess Sibyllla of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, in 1932.

Nickname:
Because Princess Sibylla wore it so frequently, the piece became known within the family as the "Sibylla's Tiara."

Current Ownership:
After Sibylla's death in 1972, the tiara was inherited by her only son, the current King Carl XVI Gustaf.

👑Royal Use:
Although it belongs to the King's personal collection and not to the royal foundations, it is regularly loaned to other members of the family. Queen Silvia first wore it at a concert the night before her wedding in 1976.

💫Notable Wearers
In addition to Crown Princess Margreta and Queen Silvia, the tiara has been worn by:

☆Princess Christina: She wore it as her bridal tiara at her wedding in 1974.

☆Princess Madeleine: She wore it prominently at the wedding of her sister, Crown Princess Victoria, in 2010.

Palace bans Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie from Ascot: Princesses 'blindsided' after being told they can't attend royal events 'for foreseeable future'.

They cannot join the Royal Family at Royal Ascot this year amid concerns about the unfolding scandal involving the House of York and their ties with Jeffrey Epstein, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.

Sources say the sisters, whose names appear several times in the Epstein files, will not take their seats in the Royal Box at the prestigious horse-racing event in June, nor can they join senior royals for the Royal Procession.

A well place source told:' Beatrice has taken it the hardest. She's been completely blindsided by all of this.'

Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace and Royal Ascot all declined to comment.
