It’s coming into that horrible season for animals. Fireworks and loud noises. Just some friendly advice from a fellow dog owner start stocking up on their favourite long lasting treats and show them their bed is their safety zone. If you animal is already showing signs of distress DO NOT FORCE them to go out just sit with them and reassure them and give long lasting chews to distract and have gentle tv on nothing action based for noise cancellation. If you animal is acting different when the fireworks are going off please don’t scream and shout and them. Remember they are already coming to you at its most vulnerable and screaming and yelling will not help on the long run.
Just give cuddles if you can start night routine early between 2nd-10th nov and around new year and Chinese new year aswell.
Now I am going to give example (lucky didn’t effect her long term) all celebrations she was brilliant until late January Lunar new Year the fire “normally” there is not a massive fire work display around my way and Zelda is bombproof not a lot scares her but last lunar new year the fire works used scared her that much (bear in mind we was not expecting it) she would not due her duty outside. That night load of people I spoke to said that was not fireworks that was more like bombs going off.
So think before you light that firework and you live near or own animal my pledge this year is if you can see animals by your display pick up the fire works and place them in a bucket of water. You will thank me after I promise.
