The synth and drum machines toys for hands on creation always have been and still are epic fun. However today I'm mixing a project also enjoyable yet quite a bit more disciplined.

Just look at this modern age work of microphone art. This is the same model Neumann M149 that I used daily at EMI publishing when employed as studio engineer 02-09. (they were lucky to have me btw)

At you May. Lot of love for the DX7 as did genius Ryuichi. I've two emulations the FM8 and DXv. Reason why this instrument is called a classic? It sounds like the boom boom.

Ps. I'm only complicit in helping my clients become deeply creative people. Satisfying their projects with solid recording and production practices. AND it happens all in my fun, bright yet cosy real world studio environment.

Music Production and Recording by Tony Salter. Previously an EMI Publishing London Engineer. Tony’s studio is in quiet St Andrews just off the M32, near St Andrews Park and Gloucester Road. Parking is free.

Collaborate Ideas. Make Music. Be Awesome.

Some history...Tony started years ago at Powerplant Studios Melbourne. From there I moved to Platinum Australia where I assisted world class Producers such as Hugh Padgham, Tchad Blake and Clive Martin.

In the 90’s I relocated to London continuing the journey through music and sound freelancing for indie artists to major labels including stints at Mute and Falconer. 2003 saw him land the full time position at EMI Publishing London Studios
