Do you have a car park? - They joy of rehearsing at Firebird Studios is that you don't have to gain access through a special gate* or wander around for ages on the streets looking for somewhere to park. We have a fairly large car park on site which can usually accomodate all of our bands rehearsing at any one time. If you get here late, then you may have a bit of difficulty parking right outside the door, but there's plenty of space all around our building and also on the street if we're really jammed up.

You do need to be sensible with where you park when you get here and maybe look around you to make sure that you're not blocking people in, or parking in a way that can stop other people parknig around you. Other than that it's usually plain sailing when you get here.

If you're rehearsing in the evening, then we typically have the entire site to ourselves. For people rehearsing in the daytime, there are other businesses on site that require access and so we ask you to be more mindful during standard working hours.

*If you are presented with a closed gate when you get here. Double check that you have come through the main entrance on Emery Road, not the side entrance on Bonville Road. If you still see a blue gate, then give us a call and we'll see what's going on.

Firebird Studios offers easy access and ample parking for rehearsals. Evening sessions have the whole site, while daytime requires mindful parking due to other businesses.

When are you open? - Monday to Thursday we're open from 10am - 11pm, Friday we're open 10am to 6pm, Saturdays can be from 9am - 4pm, but it changes during the school year and Sundays we're open from 12pm to 10pm.

That's the simplified version. In reality it can be a little tricker than that. If we have bands booked in during the daytime, then the studio will be open. If we don't then we won't be. Monday to Thursday evenings we are almost always open, as that's our peak time for bands to rehearse.

We're very happy to announce that Zoltan Farkas will be giving a Classical Guitar Showcase for all children interested in playing Classical Guitar on Saturday 15th November.

Zoiltan is an award winning guitarist, who studied at the Béla Bartók Faculty of Music in Hungary and has recently won 3rd place at the Liszt–Danubia International Music Competition. He taught at the Bristol Spanish Guitar Centre and has been the Music Director of the Bristol Classical Guitar Society.

This promises to be a fantastic event and a great way for kids to see what is possible on this beautiful instrument. If you know of anyone else who would enjoy this event, please either tag them or share it with them.

Chris Langton - Drum Teacher - Are you looking to learn drums in Bristol? We have some of the best teachers and performers at our studios ready to show you how to play that beat and become the drummer you always wanted to be.

Chris Langton is a professional drummer and teacher with over ten years of professional experience, currently working with Bristol band Snazzback who are signed to the Worm Discs record label. Bethany Stenning - Violin & Viola Teacher - If you're looking to learn violin or viola, then come to Firebird Studios and study with Bethany. She is a classically trained violinist and violist (grade 8 ABRSM) who has since explored many styles of violin, from folk to jazz. She has experience playing in orchestras, and smaller ensembles such as string quartets and alongside singer-songwriters.

As a wider musician, Bethany also composes and plays piano, guitar, harp and sings. She enjoys to explore the instruments in new and interesting ways, as well as exploring classical technique. Her band and musical identity is called STANLÆY with which she has played all over the UK and at many festivals, and been featured on Radio 6 Music for her latest EP.

Daytime Drum Practice - Daytime Drum Practice

If you want to get some drum practice in, but don't have a kit, or can't setup your own kit in your house, then come to Firebird Studios and use ours! We have all kinds of drum sets from 18" bop kits to 22" rock monsters! They are all well maintained and are regularly reskinned to ensure that you get a great sounding kit every time. You'll also get a snare drum and cymbals as part of the hire as well.

You also have access to a laptop stand, mini mixer and in room pa to playback the tracks you're working on. We have a free on site car park with plenty of space and brew some of the best coffee you're going to get in a rehearsal studio courtesy of Bristol Twenty Coffee Company.

We charge just £9.50 per hour for all of this, plus you get to use a kit that actually gets maintained and isn't broken or missing vital parts on it. We can also hire you just the shells and you bring your cymbals and snare for £8.50 per hour!

You can book your practice session from 10am - 7pm Monday - Thursday and 10am - 6pm Friday.

Saxophone Teacher - Garrick Wareham - We offer private saxophone lessons at Firebird Studios. First and foremost you have to enjoy playing and be inspired to practice and we strive to create that with the lessons we teach.

Garrick is a classical and jazz saxophonist (grade 8 ABRSM), teaching alto and tenor saxophone to all ages and skills. Garrick’s saxophone experience ranges from classical performances to playing alto and tenor in jazz, funk, big band and wind band arrangements for almost two decades. Garrick’s approach to tuition is to support his students in what is most inspiring and interesting to them, whether it’s exploring new songs and artists, pursuing grades and technical skills, or expanding their musicality and general musicianship.
