We are a digital marketing agency based in Bristol. Social | web | email | design | photography Our clients seem to be pretty pleased with the results, too.

We've worked with both very large and very small companies, helping them to get their marketing messages to their customers through branded magazines, web content, e-newsletters and social media. We decided to call ourselves The Content Emporium because, like a traditional emporium, we're a relatively small business and you get a bespoke service from us. We'll work closely with you to achieve your

marketing goals, whether you want more customers, need to reinvent your brand or simply don't have enough time to communicate your messages in the way you'd like. The agency is led by Charlotte Laing, a former magazine editor who began taking on freelance clients in 2009. Since then the client list has snowballed and the offices have got bigger but the ethos remains the same as it was at the beginning - a personal, friendly yet professional approach to customer publishing, with creativity at the heart of everything produced.

Good photography looks effortless.

But, behind the scenes it’s anything but.

Behind every ‘incidental’ prop is a much-debated mood board and a carefully curated shopping list. The magic that just ‘happens’ is the product of planning, precision, and the people standing just outside of frame, frantically cleaning scuffs off skirting boards and holding up a reflector until their arms shake.

Yesterday we had some incredibly exciting news to end the week…

The Content Emporium’s work for Landsec has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Organic Social category for The Drum Awards Festival 2025! 🥁

This massive recognition is for our work on the employee-generated content strategy across Landsec’s retail portfolio. It’s a thread of our organic social strategy that we’re really proud of, as it firmly grounds our content in the locations and the people.

Huge thanks to the Landsec team for your faith in us, and everyone at The Content Emporium who has worked tirelessly to deliver industry-leading creative ideas.

This year we've been thinking about our social impact at The Content Emporium, and what we can do to make even a small difference – so we asked the team to help shape it.

Everyone at TCE was invited to nominate a cause close to their heart, and one name came up again and again: Wallace & Gromit's Grand Appeal – the incredible charity behind Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.

Every year, more than 100,000 children rely on the hospital’s specialist care. The Grand Appeal helps fund life-saving equipment, family accommodation, and the thoughtful touches that bring comfort during the hardest times.

Bristol-born, community-focused, and making a real difference. We’re so proud to be supporting their work, and it means even more knowing the decision came from the whole team.

We picked three other incredible charities to support too. More on them soon 💛

She's Primark Bluewater’s TikTok queen 👑

We’ve teamed up with her to create local, relatable content that actually connects. She's proof that what social audiences engage with are people, NOT polished sales messages.

This year, UGC & EGC (employee-generated content) are taking over, bringing a community-first vibe to brand socials. At The Content Emporium, we're leaning into this shift, approaching content in an entertainment-first style, bringing in more local community character with employee-generated content (from superstars like Hev) and localised user generated content too.

We adore our office space at TCN UK Temple Studios - it started as a white box and we've transformed it into a hub of creativity, filled with colour, plants and people. But most importantly, it's a place where our team make connections, solve problems for our clients and drink lots of tea (and sometimes stronger drinks after hours) together. The location right next to Temple Meads makes it so easy to get to.

Kinda helps that it's opposite the wonderful Hart's Bakery too!
