2006.

The radio’s full of Neptunes beats. Every club, every chart, every artist… somehow has Pharrell Williams’ fingerprints on it.

But In My Mind felt different.

This wasn’t just another hitmaker moment - this was Pharrell stepping out from behind the curtain and saying, “this is me.”

You press play and it’s unpredictable.
Not chasing trends. Not fitting into one sound.
Just creativity… in its purest form.

Tracks like Can I Have It Like That brought that bounce.
Number One had that energy.
And then Angel slowed everything down… like a glimpse into his world beyond the hits.

It didn’t sound like anything else at the time… and honestly, it still doesn’t.

20 years later, In My Mind feels less like an album and more like a statement:
You don’t have to follow the wave when you helped create it.
