So very sorry to hear the devastating news of the sudden loss of Dave Baker, CEO of the Olympus Academy Trust. Such an inspirational man. Our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. Such a big part of our local school community. He will be deeply missed.

Seen in Patchway last night 18th Aug!!

Please continue to keep a look out for my cousin. He was last seen at 3.50pm today (18th Aug) leaving Mead Park in Stoke Gifford. We are not sure which direction he went from here. He is possibly in the Bradley Stoke, Stoke Gifford areRachel Godivalage me or Rachel Godivala or call 07785 266523 if you get a current sighting of Ben.

He doesn’t have any money and is very vulnerable. We need a current location for him to get the medical help he needs. Thank you

🩵 New Stories is a free emotional well-being workshop, for new parents and babies. Presented by Tidal Tales Collective, the workshop will use music, stories and meditation to explore themes of parenthood, nature and well-being. 🩵

🌸 The 45 minute theatre workshop will be sensory and interactive, for both you and your baby. 🌸

Pilning Open Flower Show Saturday 23rd August 2:15pm.

This traditional village show founded in 1895, takes place at St Peter’s School, Pilning (BS35 4JG) on Sat 23rd August.

Visitors, welcomed from 2:15pm, can enjoy the exhibits, homemade refreshments, a bumper raffle and entertaining auction of produce and donated items. Admission for adults is £1, OAPs 50p and children free. All monies raised will go to local charity Sight Support (West of England).

The show’s competitions are free and open for anyone to enter with 75 classes including: vegetables, flowers, fruit, preserves, baking, photography, flower arranging, crafts, and classes just for children. There are cash prizes, certificates, and trophies to be won. For more information on how to enter and to download a programme please visit the show’s website at www.pilningflowershow.co.uk.

Registering entries in advance is recommended but you can just turn up with them begore 10:45 on the morning of the show.
