Friday just gone was one of the most fun nights I’ve had in a long time!
I danced for almost 5 hours non stop with my best mates, and amazing wife, and got to see a true legend of the game play an awesome packed out, tune after tune set.
I really enjoyed the venue (toilets weren’t great) but the vibe was, a lovely mixture of people of all ages, and I thought the sound system was good.
It’s mental to think that one DJs music has had such an impact on me over the last 30 years and to see him play all those tunes was pretty special.
I couldn’t bring myself to stay to close knowing I had to deal with a hyped up 3 year old the next day, so unfortunately missed Ewan Mcvicker, but really enjoyed both and sets.
Why am I sharing this? Well the crew of people I went with have all had their fair share of bad luck thrown at them over the last few years (including myself) meaning a night like this was unthinkable.
It was honestly so good to actually smile and dance and forget about all our woes, and party like we used to.
Well almost…
3 of us were sober, I had to ice my knees when I got in, and work today was tough!
I just want to shout out and all for making it such a good evening!
I’m sure all of us would have been in bed before 10pm under normal circumstances, but it just goes to show that good music can’t be denied, and we’ve still got it 👊👊👊
