This month's guest is... GEORGE MANN!
Co-Artistic Director of Theatre Ad Infinitum (alongside husband Nir Paldi) we were so excited to be joined by George who came to talk to us about his career thus far, how to find the balance between personal and professional life and most excitingly the company's current show 'Last Rites' that he's created alongside the incredible performer and maker Ramesh Meyyappan.
They are bringing the show to the Bristol Old Vic Mainhouse between 15th-19th of July - don't miss it!
George's credits include: 'Odyssey' winner of ‘The Stage Best Solo Performer Award’ which toured internationally for 10 years; 'Translunar Paradise', winner of nine awards, and toured the world including a 3-month tour of Brazil; 'Light', 4 London runs including a sell-out at Barbican as part of the 2015 London International Mime Festival, and toured internationally for four years; the critically acclaimed 'Extraordinary Wall [of Silence]', which toured the UK and was made into a feature film for international screening during the pandemic; 'Beautiful Evil Things', number 4 in The Guardian’s 'Best Theatre of 2022' which continues to tour nationally and internationally.
George won the National Theatre and Bristol Old Vic’s Quercus Trust Award in December 2014 and was Associate Director at Bristol Old Vic 2015-17. His critically acclaimed main stage directorial work at Bristol Old Vic includes: 'Pink Mist', written by Owen Sheers, which transferred to Bush Theatre London in 2016; and 'Medea', a new version written by Chinonyerem Odimba incorporating Euripides’ text in a translation by Robin Robe.
