Cookie is an Alert Dog for her human. She can detect her owners serious heart arrhythmia, thus saving her owners life and also alerting her owner to potential dangers to get help before the heart arrhythmia gets to a serious stage.
Sadly Cookie herself needs emergency care. Cookie started having seizures without a known cause. Her vets have been so incredibly supportive, but sadly they have exhausted all of the tests they can do, and none of them have shown an obvious cause. Her seizures are ongoing, meaning she now needs to see a veterinary neurologist.
Cookie is and was insured but her insurance has let them down, and all avenues including the PDSA have been exhausted…. Leaving a whopping £2,500 bill to get her an MRI and to see a specialist.
This is where Cookie and her family need your help. If we can raise the funds for the MRI and Neurologist we could get Cookie a treatment plan and save her life.
