My final big BOVTS make!!

This project is a recreation of a portrait by Sir Thomas Lawrence of the 3rd Duke of Portland. My project is modelled by the amazing and the portrait itself can be found at the Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery.

I spent a long time working on this project, making sure it was just right. I learnt so many new skills and how to work with fur and velvet. My favourite part is the waistcoat as I took some creative liberty's with the embroidery design as it can't be seen in the portrait.

✨️ Work experience jacket ✨️

This is my first tailored jacket I made on work experience with the wonderful .tailor . I spent 10 days with her in April learning all the different techniques used in tailoring. We can safely say that I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it and that the experience has really proven to me how much I like tailoring.

I decided to make the amazing Mirelles act 1 top for Donna as we couldn't find anything right in the costume store.

It was quite a lot of trial and error but we got there in the end and I'm really pleased with the outcome.
