Tremolo is a Bristol based collaborative theatre company, exploring theatrical story telling using live sound, original music, a touch of humour and lots of movement. We like telling stories about science, politics, technology and people themselves. We are not afraid of complexity but we also make work that's accessible and engaging for audiences. The company was formed around the idea of collaboration so we make sure everyone is as involved as possible in every element of the creative process.

Throwback Thursday! Here are some of 's production shots from our sharing of Utility Function at back in January.

It was such a delight to work with , .hogg and Samantha Sutherland to test this idea out on stage. Also big thanks to for stepping in and holding us all together like a champ as well as , and for helping us workshop the script.

Utility Function:

Eli XO have been told by their record label that they need to step up their game for their next album. They decide to take action & go to a remote location to record with an AI; the latest state of the art intelligent recording studio. As time progresses the band begin to suspect the AI is going above and beyond the call of duty. Is it friend or foe? Is it helping or hindering? Each member of Eli XO interprets the AI differently. But who is right?

Utility Function explores the evolution of AI’s potential and its purpose in the world.
