When SRAM released its mechanical Eagle 90 Transmission earlier this year, it bucked the trend of drivetrain manufacturers refreshing their mechanical options.

The groupset shares the DNA of its electronic equivalents, with a derailleur that bolts straight onto the bikeโ€™s frame.

But, rather than connecting the shifter and derailleur via Bluetooth, the connection is physical, via a cable.
