Massive thanks to MISSFAITHEE |Singer Songwriter for rounding up the Miranda Rae Takeover
at Bristol Harbour Festival the biggest free festival in Europe with over 250,000 people attending. I was so proud to have 2hrs to curate an electrifying showcase of the UK's top tier of female talent.
With only 23% of all festival lineups female led and behind the scenes only 6% of women are working, I had to make sure we represented. (As well as SWB's own research & surveys, these stats also backed up by Huddersfield University).

With a few last minute changes we were so proud to have Miss Faithee a soulful R&B singer-songwriter known for her emotionally rich music, blending vulnerability and strength.

Sound Women Bristol CIC aka Sound Women SW provides a huge range of services from bespoke 1:1 & group training, workshops and safe spaces for women of all ages to come together for self-help, support, information exchange and development around gender & race equality in the all areas of audio industries from the streets to the boardroom.

Sound Women SW is also a multi award winning indie production company. Whilst training participants we make radio & podcasts series, which have included a groundbreaking series with the NHS working with people & families living with dementia. Another project working with the visually impaired. I even helped design the world's 1st podcast toolkit for the blind with the help from the creators of Podbean.

We have worked on numerous projects from working with young women dealing with knife crime & gang culture & so much more. SWB are so proud to have this opportunity to share this dynamic showcase.

We provide the majority of our workshops for free for women & girls from marginalised communities and any donations, funding or support to enable us to continue is very much appreciated! Last weekend Miranda Rae (SWB) events was officially relaunched! We had the honour of a 2hr takeover on the main stage Bristol Harbour Festival

I am so incredibly proud to of had one of the UK's most exciting & talented performers AUGUST open the show. August is a live hybrid electronic singer, songwriter & producer, described as "one of the UK's most exciting emerging artists" - EARMILK

We are so grateful to the organisers of the Bristol Harbour Festival for recognising that unfortunately there's still a huge under representation of female artists across all audio industries. Sound Women provide opportunities from mentoring, networking to training in all areas of audio industries. We can provide workshops, come to schools or a location of your choice or provide venues with key organisations we are already working with.

We also have a multi award winning independent production company. Last year we won Best Documentary Series in The Lovie Awards for a 9 episode series that was actually made by 1st time producers that we had trained but the judges didn't know that so we are so proud that the series won purely on the calibre of their work.

I have to say a HUGE thank you to all the incredible team aboard the who took such great care of me this weekend at
Tom especially went above & beyond, I felt really emotional when it all finally came to an end and thank you so much for sending these photos!

The Balmoral is a charity that relies on donations. You can hold gigs, events, workshops, exhibitions and more and all whilst on board this beautiful vessel!!

What a privilege it was to commentate this year at Bristol Harbour Festival's opening night at this spectacular LED night time performance by the world's number 1 flyboard stuntman .prestwood at IT WAS A PHENOMENAL DISPLAY & beautiful as it lit up Bristols night sky!!
