An artist with a message and a big mood. Meet Miroslav Pelák ❤️
Miroslav Pelák (b. 1992) is a Slovak painter based in Bardejov. He studied Painting at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague.
Miroslav’s work explores social and political themes through a blend of modernist and realist styles. His paintings often reflect on life in post-communist Eastern Europe, using art to question how we construct history, identity, and progress.
His figures are oversized, blocky, and intentionally distorted, theydraw inspiration from Cubism and Soviet propaganda posters. These forms do more than define a style; they echo the visual legacy of Soviet-era imagery still present in everyday life in Slovakia.
Miroslav is working hard in the studio on some new works for Toxic Arts, just drop us a DM or emails [email protected] to get more release details.
