I don't know about you, but over the summer I took thousands of photos to use on social media, and I still haven't done anything with them 🤦🏻‍♀️

If you're the same as me, here are a few ways that you can make good use your summer photos in your autumn/winter content.

Throwback posts - Share fun summer flashbacks on cold, rainy days to bring a bit of joy and nostalgia.

Inspiration for next year – Use summer garden pictures or holiday snaps to inspire planning ahead through the colder seasons.

Create a sticker - Make a sticker of yourself, food you've eaten, products, whatever it might be, from the photo and use the image in posts, stories and carousels.

Storytelling – Tell a behind-the-scenes story that you didn’t share at the time.

Customer testimonials - Reshare customer reviews and photos taken in summer.

Seasonal transitions – show how summer décor, outfits, products, dishes evolve for winter. Or give your summer favs an autumn/winter twist.

Just a few ideas for you to try. Just don't let your photos go to waste!

The best thing for small businesses…

Is to find the amount that works perfectly for you and doesn’t cause burnout.

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all…

It’s better to share fewer posts that are quality and truly connect with your audience rather than churn out daily content that feels rushed.

Do what’s sustainable for you and your business. Show up in a way that feels good for you - your audience will feel the difference.
