On Sunday morning, the town held its annual Remembrance Day parade and Service organized by the Royal British Legion and supported by Buckingham Town Council, attracting a significant crowd together to pay tribute

At 10:30am, the parade left from Market Hill making its way to the war memorial at ST Peter and St Paul’s Church for a solemn commemorative service.

In the lead-up to Remembrance Day, a free tour organized by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC), was held at Buckingham Cemetery giving residents a chance to honour local heroes.

Spread around the cemetery located off Brackley Road are the final resting place of Ten service personnel – Two service men from the First World War and Eight from the Second World War.

With the recent sightings of the Northern lights also known as aurora borealis, the met office have now confirmed that the UK is likely to see more of this rare sight as part of a solar cycle.

The Sun follows a natural cycle, shifting between low and high magnetic activity every 11 years. At the peak of this cycle, known as the solar maximum, the Sun’s magnetic poles flip, turning it from calm to highly active.

Fourth year medical student, Chloe Tang made history by becoming the first athlete to represent the University of Buckingham at the British Universities and College Sports (BUCS) Outdoor Athletics Championships.

The competition was held in Manchester. Chloe competed in the 100m race and the long jump, racing against some of the best athletes from across the UK.

Breast Cancer Now was the charity chosen to support because it has personally affected Merry and Liv. Merry lost her beautiful mum, Amanda, to breast cancer in 2020, and Liv’s wonderful Nan, Elizabeth, is currently living with breast cancer.

Scientifically known as CRGV, damages dogs’ blood vessels and kidneys, often leading to death within days.
