Tickets going FAST don't miss out!

The first in a new series of concerts called "In the Pines, In the Pines" held in the natural beauty of Underpine Woods in the wild country of North Cornwall.

Referencing the great Leadbelly song "Where did you sleep last night?" famously covered by Nirvana, these concerts will lean into the best of the deeply soulful Folk, Blues and Grunge flavoured music that the curators of the event, SPARE PEG RECORDS can curate.

This first event hosts 3 top acts spanning the genres, with the spellbinding Lore & Lament, Joe Doyle and James Dixon.

Lore & Lament are Holly Anne Coles and Mitch Cartwright, they create ethereal and magical soundscapes, drawing on traditional folk songs from across the British and Irish Islands as well as their own compostions. A truly immersive and overwhelming experience. In addition to this amazing duo, Holly is a soundscape facilitator across the country, creating sound-baths in spectacular venues such as Wells Cathedral. In the setting of Underpine Woods, Lore & Lament will be sure to live long in the memory of everyone lucky enough to be there.

Joe Doyle is a folk singer and guitarist straight out the top drawer of the old school. Irish national, living in West Cornwall, Joe is inspirational in his steadfast and no-bullsh*t approach to playing the good stuff really well. A firm favourite on the Bude folk scene and regarded as a musicians musician, one for fans of Paul Brady, John Martyn,. Lankum and Richard Thompson.

James Dixon, well known on the scene in the area, self described as grunge-folk or anglo-celtic soul, a hard one to pin down in terms of genre but when you buy a ticket to watch James play, he will lead the horses to the water and try to make them think. Raw, a bit wild, honest and oscillating between the modest and grandiose. A thoroughly different experience to seeing him play for free in the pubs and cafes where crowd pleasing covers abound from which bread is put on the table and the bills are paid, this is James in his own songs, his own mind. James will also be playing a selection of his favourite folk, grunge and blues vinyl records across the evening in the spaces between the acts.
