Because if I don’t give my own business the same strategy, love, and big-brain energy I pour into my clients, things start going all over the place like a crab trying to walk in a straight line.

I want my clients to look at what I’m doing and go, “Yep, she walks the walk.”

✨ One week of Ashore Digital ✨

It’s officially been one week since I launched Ashore Digital.

Hitting “go” on something I’d been quietly (okay… not so quietly 😂) building behind the scenes was equal parts exciting and terrifying!

But in just seven days I’ve already had brilliant conversations about websites, socials, and digital strategy with new and established clients.

I started off as Ashore VA but over time, “virtual assistant” stopped being what I actually did as I evolved more into social media and then websites (although, true story, I chose VA because they are my initials too!).

Now I’m here turning small ripples into big digital waves for businesses that want to stand out, and changing from VA to DIGITAL was the obvious step for me (with a little bit of help from Rachel Goode 😘)

So, here I am now, being more creative and more, well, coastal (🌊).

My new branding (from my wonderful Holly Degavre) fits perfectly, don't you agree?

I started Ashore VA in a bit of a hurry - I needed a job, and by setting up on my own, I could play to my skills and get working straight away.

There wasn’t a big plan - just working hard, listening to what my clients wanted, adjusting what I offered, taking courses (so many courses!), networking, and then doing even more training.

Then somewhere along the way something brilliant happened and I realised how much I actually love what I do - and how proud I am of what I’ve built. I also found my voice again and started getting unapologetically LOUD - about my business, my work, and my clients.

💫 So I decided to show my business some love as a sign of my appreciation - meet Ashore Digital! 💫

It's still the same person behind the brand (hi 👋), but with a new business name, new look (thank you Holly Degavre🎨 and Wendy Gannon 📸), and a clear focus on what I love most - website design and digital strategy.

🌊 So dive in here - ashore-digital.co.uk (the wave/beach/water puns will be used A LOT - I was cautious of doing that with Ashore VA, but not this time 😂 Sorry not sorry!)

When I first started this business, it was very much a “make it work” moment - and somehow, it did!

Ashore VA grew out of necessity, but along the way, I discovered how much I adore designing websites and socials, and helping small businesses show up beautifully online.

Now it’s time for the next chapter 💙

It’s digital, it’s creative, and it’s very me.

You posted twice this month.
Once was a random quote you didn’t write.

Conclusion.
Your audience has no idea who you are or what you do.

Social media isn’t about showing up when you feel like it.
It’s about building familiarity - trust - presence.

Action required.
Show up. Regularly. Strategically.
Before I file your account under “inconsistent and uninspired.”

Jazzy says: “If you don’t show up, neither will your audience.”

Shh.... Don't tell anyone, but I've been checking my emails on the first morning of our camping holiday 🤣

BUT - look what I found in my inbox!!!

I've been nominated for another The West Country Women Awards, in the Best Supporting Act category, by my lovely Katie Jane Arscott 🥰

Anyone who's been to her fabulous Sisters & Sequins events knows how special they are, and what a wonderful, sparkly, force of nature Katie is - both are worth protecting and promoting. Katie and her S&S evenings completely transformed my knowledge of networking, and have had a huge and positive impact on me.

Thank you Katie 😘

And now, honestly (🤪) I won't be checking my emails till I'm home, but I have an extra bounce in my step today!

After an amazing day yesterday being coached by Vibrancy Coaching and then onto a planning meeting with my wonderful Pink Lemonade collaborators Holly DeGavre and Lucy Holding Brand Photography & Media I came home, opened my emails....

and....

BAM!!!

I had an email from The West Country Women Awards to let me know I've been nominated in the Women in Digital Marketing category!!!

WHAT??!!!!!

I've not been nominated for an award before, so believe me when I say this is a BIG DEAL for me!

So thank you to my anonymous nominator - you made my day!

How blimmin exciting!!
