Mid Sussex Radio Mid Sussex Radio 103.8FM is a Community Radio Station for the Mid Sussex area.

We used to be called Burgess Hill Radio but, as we broadcast to almost the whole of the Mid Sussex area, we decided our new name would be more appropriate! All our presenters are volunteers, giving their time free for the benefit of the community. We play music from the last six decades, cover local news and events and have interviews with community groups and leaders, councillors and local people

. We also offer people aged 18 and over who may be thinking of a career in radio the chance to learn some skills and techniques in radio presentation and production.

Emma Burel the Charity Shop Manager of Bernardo’s in London Road Burgess Hill came into the MSR Studios this morning for a Chat with JB. Emma explained that the shop has been unfortunately closed for a while lately due to staff illness, but they were now back open again Monday to Saturday from 9 to 5 and are happy to take donations again. During December they will be open on Sundays as well.

Gail Miller the Founder and Chief Executive of Befriended came to the MSR Studios this morning to have a chat with JB. Befriended was set up in 2017 by Gail with the sole mission of ending loneliness and isolation among older people living in Mid Sussex It is run almost entirely by local volunteers, helping with bereavement support, monthly tea parties, community choir, bus trips and face to face befriending etc. In 2023 Gail was one of only 500 people in the UK to be presented with a Coronation Champion Award to recognise her contribution to the Community.
