I will never get bored of telling it! For as long as I will live I will remember this moment and share this story every year! Enjoy 😊
💖
At this exact time 9 years ago lying in The Royal Free Hospital, this little munchkin laid next to me and told me everything was going to be alright! I had already been in labour for 48 hours and everyone kept telling me it was Braxton Hicks! We had sent the hubby home (who had been sleeping on the wooden chair for 4 nights!) and my little sister said that she was going to stay with me. We were already an emotional wreck as this was the hospital where we tragically lost our Daddy, our King, and we were re living all the horrendous memories. The new Doctor on call that night came round to see me and we nearly had a heart attack! A big round bushy eyebrowed man, tanned and very smiley...he went by the name of Dr Ali 💙 we both looked at each other and burst into floods of tears, the doctor stared at us wondering what he had said that was so wrong. We reassured him it was not him and explained that our Daddy was called Ali and he looked like him! After calming us down he went on to explain that I was not in labour and it was fake contractions. He told us he was only on call for 12 hours and doubted that he would be the one delivering the babies. Feri looked at me when he left and said “you do realise these babies are coming and that man is going to deliver them! Dad is living in this man for 12 hours!” As crazy as it sounded I knew she was right, and like a miracle cm by cm I started dilating over night 😱 Of course, like all joyful hospitals I had to wait for a slot to go into theatre! By now everyone was back around my bedside and the 12 hours were up...16 hours later I was wheeled into theatre only to find Dr Ali standing there waiting for me. He told me that he could not leave and that he felt like something was holding him there. He went on to explain that in all the C Sections he has done mine meant something to him and he was adamant he was going to deliver them…and he did!❤️ I will never forget this night for as long as I live, and I will never be able to thank my sister enough for being my rock that night ❤️
