This wonderful capture was taken by Carola Kayen-Mouthaan. She kindly shared a little more about it below:

"I personally find it special that the two models were complete strangers. The older man is a good friend of mine and a fellow photographer. They were seeing each other for the first time, but there was an instant connection between them.

This photo also has a very special meaning for me, because the little boy, Ilay, 5, didn't actually want to be photographed as Pinocchio. But because his grandmother (a very good friend of mine) asked him, he agreed to do it for her. Unfortunately, she passed away the night after I took the photo."

This is why photographs are so special. Thanks so much for kindly sharing with us all, Carola.

Tina from Tina Wing Photography is the author of this lovely shot! She kindly shared some more about it below:

"This image was taken on a very challenging day weather wise. The bride arrived in full sun, the couple came out of the church to a dreary sky, and a few minutes after this shot was taken on the way to the reception, we had the umbrellas up as the impending rain finally arrived. Settings 1/320 sec f4.0 ISO 1600."

Trevor Partridge is the author of this beautiful shot! Here's a little more about it:

"After being delayed by traffic on the M25, I finally reached the deer park just as the sun was beginning to pierce through the early morning mist. By the time I arrived, the Fallow Bucks had almost completed their rutting activities for the day. They were gradually retreating to their resting places, having expended their energy earlier in the morning. Lying down in the damp grass at a safe distance I was able to observe this magnificent buck, who obligingly posed for me. I captured the image using the following settings: f/6.3, 1/640 second shutter speed, ISO 6400, with my lens set at 428mm."

Marj Freeston is the author of this clever shot! Here is a little more about it:

"The image is of my husband who helps out a lot when I’m stuck for ideas.
There was a themed competition at my camera club. ”Framed”. I was not happy with the ones I’d selected to choose from and so took a quick shot of Mel who framed for me and changed to black and white. It did very well in the competition."
