Pokémon 30th Release – A Message From Us
With the first batch of Pokémon 30th now done, we wanted to take a moment to address a few things.
Firstly, thank you.
We want to give a massive thank you to members of our community who willingly gave up their allocation from this first wave so that parents with children could have the opportunity to get something first.
You absolutely did not have to do that, and the kindness and generosity shown was incredible. You guys are amazing, and it reminded us exactly why we love the community we have here.
Our allocation system
Before the next drop, we will be reassessing our system to make sure we are handling these extremeily high-demand releases as fairly as we possibly can.
We also want to make everyone aware that any Pokémon product that comes foil-wrapped will only be sold unsealed. This is something we have chosen to do to help ensure products are reaching people who genuinely want to open, collect and enjoy them.
Pokémon is for EVERYONE.
One thing we do need to address is some of the behaviour we have seen surrounding this release.
Pokémon is a game and hobby for all ages. Children, teenagers, adults, parents, collectors, competitive players and people opening their very first pack all have a place in this hobby.
Some of the abuse and hostility we have seen surrounding this release has been genuinely horrible.
At the end of the day, this is a hobby. It is supposed to bring people enjoyment.
Whether you play League with us every week, pop in occasionally, collect from home, or attend and support other local stores, we wish you nothing but joy from the hobby.
There is room at the table for everyone.
