Our little slice of heaven. It all began back in the early 90โs when we purchased a derelict small holding. It was just a bare field. Everything you see has been planted, built, created and lovingly tended by ourselves.
With just a vision of a small pond and nature area for our own family use. A grant from the woodland trust was obtained to create the woods.. The pond was dug and landscaped and looked like a huge muddy puddle! We then decided to grow our own veg, plants etc and keep numerous animals. goats, sheep, chickens, ducks & guinea fowl... a proper little menagerie. โthe Good Lifeโ
In the early days we grew and sold bedding plants and made up hanging baskets, fresh veg and eggs while tending to the livestock. all done whilst holding down full time work and bringing up a family and not actually living at the site. Alot of hard work had been done to get it to the stage we were at so in 2007 it was decided that now the children had grown up and become more independent that we would pursue the idea of sharing what we had created and open up as a certificated caravan & camping site.
We had brought back to life what was a derelict and underused piece of land and very proud of what it had become and felt we just had to share. It was the right decision. Over the last 11 or so years we have met some wonderful people, made some life long friends, most of whom would probably have never come to our lovely part of North Lincolnshire thus bringing visitor spend to our local economy.
