On Thursday 8th May 2025 the nation will come together to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of Victory In Europe Day.

Stretton Parish Council are marking this day with 2 events :

10am at the Stretton Memorial - The special VE 80 Day Union flag will be raised by members of the de Ferrers Academy Combined Cadet Force and the VE 80 Day Proclamation will be read out.

9.30pm at the Stretton Memorial - The VE 80 Day Lamp Light of Peace will be lit and The Tribute read out again with the assistance of the de Ferrers Academy Combined Cadet Force.
