NOW THIS IS WHAT WE CALL PROPER MATCH-DAY HYDRATION…!!!!

Another one from Saturday at Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club — and further evidence that some people take their match-day preparation extremely seriously. 😂

Two gentlemen enjoying the fantastic club hospitality…and apparently deciding that ordering by the pint simply wasn’t going to be efficient enough.

So they went for the jugs.

Sensible. Saves unnecessary journeys to the bar. 🍺😁

And that’s a huge part of what makes a Saturday at the Haberden so enjoyable. Yes, there’s the rugby…but there’s also the hospitality, the food, the drink, the laughter and spending an afternoon with good company.

Judging by this photograph, these two certainly weren’t having a terrible time! 😂

Great rugby. Great hospitality. Great people.

And a couple of chaps with what can only be described as a fairly impressive thirst. 🍺🍺🏉

THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE THE HABERDEN…Yes, there was a hugely entertaining game of National 1 rugby taking place between Bury St Edmunds Men’s 1st XV and Sale FC…

But sometimes we like to turn the cameras away from the pitch.

Because Bury Rugby isn't just about the 30 players battling it out on the grass.

It's about the people around it.

The supporters. The families. The friends. The volunteers. The sponsors. The familiar faces. And occasionally the characters who seem to spend considerably more time socialising than actually watching the rugby! 😂🥂🏉

Saturday gave us another brilliant crowd at the Haberden and, alongside all the match action, we made sure we captured plenty of the people simply enjoying an afternoon at their rugby club.

The Bury Boys eventually went down 15–45 against a very strong Sale FC side, but once again the atmosphere around the ground showed exactly what makes this club rather special.

A TOUGH AFTERNOON… BUT A CRACKING GAME OF RUGBY AT THE HABERDEN!

The Beanstalk Media cameras were back pitchside yesterday covering Bury St Edmunds Men’s 1st XV vs Sale FC — and what a hugely entertaining game it was.

The final score of 15–45 to Sale FC perhaps doesn't tell the whole story.

Bury played some excellent rugby against a seriously strong Sale side, competed hard throughout and created plenty of opportunities of their own. Ultimately, the visitors had that extra quality to make their chances count — but there was plenty for the Bury Boys to take from the afternoon as their National 1 journey continues. 🏉

A little bit of “We Plough the Fields and Scatter…”

Captured this during the week as one of the Rougham Estate tractors was still out ploughing as the light disappeared and the day came to a close.

A great reminder that while most of us are heading home at the end of the day, our local farming teams are often still out there working late into the night, preparing the land and producing the food we all rely on.

MISSION COMPLETED…..We’ve successfully completed our journey from the UK to the Ukrainian border with the brilliant Pick...

MISSION COMPLETED…..We’ve successfully completed our journey from the UK to the Ukrainian border with the brilliant Pickups for Peace....nearly 30 vehicles, packed with a vast range of humanitarian supplies, delivered and handed over to the Ukrainians. And these vehicles really do matter.

Once in Ukraine, they are deployed for an extraordinary range of uses...from helping families get their children to school, to being deployed in orphanages and moving essential supplies, right through to evacuating wounded soldiers from the front line.

The reality is that, on average, these vehicles last around three months in country. Just three months....

Which means the need for a constant stream of replacement pickups and 4x4s simply doesn’t stop.

I travelled with a vehicle we had sourced and helped bring across, but also with my cameras...documenting the journey, the people involved and the remarkable effort that goes into getting these vehicles from the UK to where they are so desperately needed.

There is considerably more video and photography to come from the journey…

But for now, huge respect to everyone involved with Pickups for Peace, everyone who donated a vehicle, supplies, money or time, and everyone who climbed behind the wheel and drove east.

Nearly 30 more vehicles are now where they need to be. And the next ones are already needed.
