Breeding Dogs Isn’t Just a “Job” —It’s a Way of Life 🫶🏻
For me breeding isn’t just about puppies—it’s about family, love, and daily life.
Our world revolves around our dachshunds, our two-year-old, and our teenager.
It’s busy, sometimes overwhelming, but it’s also full of love and purpose—and I wouldn’t change it for the world.
The world sees the cute puppies, but it doesn’t see me curled up on the floor, half-asleep, listening for the tiniest whimper from a newborn. It doesn’t see the 2 a.m. alarms set for a mother dog who needs round-the-clock checks. It doesn’t see the quiet anxiety of whelping day, or the relief when everything goes just right.
My days are a constant dance between two worlds: family and dogs.
It’s helping my teenager with homework while cleaning up after a new mama.
It’s chasing my toddler while keeping an eye on a recovering pup.
It’s missing a school event because a puppy needs me more. Missing family gathering family wedding etc .
I pour everything into this life—my time, my energy, my hearts—because these dogs aren’t “products.” They’re family. Souls we brought into this world, and souls we are committed to for life.
Yes, it’s exhausting. Yes, it’s demanding. But it’s also worth it—for the joy of seeing a puppy thrive, the smile on a family’s face when they meet their new best friend, and the unconditional love these dogs give back every single day.
I don’t have nannies or carers.
We do it all ourselves—with patience, dedication, and a whole lot of heart.
The hardest moments aren’t the long days or the early mornings… the hardest moments are when a child, or one of our dogs isn’t well. That’s what truly hurts. 💔
What does wear me down are things people don’t often see:
Unexpected drop-ins.
Late-night calls/messages for non-urgent questions.
The assumption that “working from home” means always being available.
Quick blame when something doesn’t go perfectly.
Please remember—my days are carefully structured.
Every hour is planned, every moment counts.
When the routine is broken, the work still has to get done—just later, with less rest and more pressure.
I will always show up in an emergency. And always answers to my calls/ messages 🐾
But we also need respect—for my time, our boundaries, and the lives we’re balancing behind the scenes.
So we ask, kindly:
-Think before you call.
-Please don’t drop by unannounced.
🧠 Use a little common sense.
💛 Remember there’s a family a mommy behind the breeder.
Thank you for respecting that. It means more than you know.
