The 2022 Participatory Budgeting Programme takes place in February.
A wide range of charities and voluntary organisations are taking part. This is the chance for Newport residents to have a say on who gets funds from our programme.
Newport City Council will hold six decision events where you can decide which community projects and groups are most important to you.
Have your say on who gets funds from our participatory budgeting programme.
Register your interest in attending one of the sessions, contact ring 01633 414720 or email [email protected],
Projects and groups will receive funding from the programme based on YOUR VOTES at the events.
All events will be running on Zoom again this year, There will hosting sessions to help those who can’t get online to take part.

British Cycling can today announce that the 2022 HSBC UK | National Track Championships will be held in the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales, in Newport, from 28-30 January 2022.
The 2022 event will be the first to take place outside of Manchester since 1994, with Britain’s top riders battling it out for the coveted red, white and blue national champions’ jerseys.

Ringland Neighbourhood Hub (Community East Hub) is the first fully functional premises of four hubs that in future will serve the North, South, East and West of Newport. This Hub completed just before the pandemic will operate a walk in Vaccination on 6 August between, 9am and 5pm.

No appointment is required and anyone over the age of 18 will be able to get their 1st vaccination dose. Both Astra Zeneca and Pfizer vaccinations will be available.

You will need identification documents (British or other) and proof of address if not stated on your ID (e.g. a utility bill).

Support is available to anyone who may have issues in providing such documentation.
