Do you know the story of Bennerley Viaduct?

You might have travelled past it many times without even knowing it’s there, but this bridge, Britain's longest iron viaduct, played a crucial role in the region’s industrial history.

Hear the whole story from the viaduct’s inception through to modern day, right from the skywalk itself through free storytelling sessions! Here’s what you need to know:

📆 Sunday 6 September.
⏰ 1:00pm – 4:00pm, storytelling sessions start from 1.15pm
📍 Bennerley Viaduct, Woodwiss Road, off Shilo Way, Awsworth, Nottingham NG16 2BF - what3words: ///forced.props.cars

Enjoy live music by The Hot Dogs Brass Band, Victorian street theatre, and an interactive talk on mining by historical coal miner entertainer David Coleman, bringing the viaduct to life throughout the afternoon.

This is also a great opportunity to visit the newly opened visitors centre and café, which will be serving coffee, cake, snacks, ice creams and a special event menu.

Find out more about the event and see the full schedule: www.broxtowe.gov.uk/irongiantavalleysstory

Free parking is available on site. Blue Badge holders can reserve a spot by emailing [email protected] - booking is essential.
