Slovenia part 1!!! 🇸🇮 ft. Ljubljana, the Julian Alps, Lake Bohinj, Postojna Cave, Predjama Castle and Mostnica Waterfall. Not bad for a few days of thunderstorms! Special mention to the evening games of Flip 7, what a game.

A quick rant about who are dampening my pink car joy 🥲 everyone’s trying to follow “procedure” and pass the buck... and they’ve definitely spent more in labour and hire car costs at this point than the cost of a new battery!

Let’s recap 2025…

✈️ January: I finished work and started my 6 month sabbatical. Melbourne and Sydney were my first stops for some tennis and iconic sights down under.

🦘 February: I backpacked up the east coast of Australia and made some new pals along the way (both human and kangaroo).

🥾 March: I scuba-dived on the Great Barrier Reef before hopping over to NZ for some hiking and stargazing.

🌅 April: I spontaneously went paragliding to round off my time in NZ, then flew to Thailand. My tour included many temples and a rural village homestay.

🏝️ May: My next stop was beautiful Cambodia, including a trip to Angkor Wat before monsoon season set in.

🤿 June: I had a brief pit-stop back in the UK before continuing my solo travels around Europe. I got my open water diving certificate and danced around Salzburg to the Sound of Music.

💻 July: All good things must come to an end and I returned to my office job in the City. Bought some TimTams to help with the travel withdrawal.

🚲 August: I settled back into life in Cambridge, and between cycling and roller blading I spent a lot of time on wheels.

🐾 September: I celebrated my actuarial qualification with colleagues (better late than never) and Buster came to stay.

🍂 October: I had a musical-loving month watching Hamilton on tour and dressing up as Elphaba for a Wicked-themed house party. I also took short trips to the New Forest and Amsterdam.

🤝 November: My workload reached a peak and my commute became a bit miserable when the weather turned. But Bridgemas was wholesome as ever.

🎄 December: Christmas time meant ice skating gala performance, festive meals and time with family. And I turned 27.

Looking back on photos has reminded me how many amazing memories I’ve made this year. Thanks for following along and here’s to 2026! 🎉
