Amazing early work from Andy

A technical illustration I did in the early 90s whilst working at an agency in Germany. It's a K*K turbocharger for use on a truck engine. A pencil drawing was done first from technical drawings for reference, the drawing scanned and then rendered using computer graphics with Adobe Illustrator on an Apple Mac. Today Photoshop might be best but the system I was given to use couldn't handle the memory required in those early computer days! I never really enjoyed doing digital computer artwork compared to real traditional art ...with pencils, pens, paints and real paint brushes. There is limited scope for individual flair with a computer that does the colour blends for you.
