π Open Call for Papers | African Parasites Special Issue
Africa is home to extraordinary parasite diversity β from savannahs to wetlands, tropical forests to coastlines. Parasites and their vectors impact human health, livestock, wildlife conservation, aquaculture, and ecosystems across the continent.
This Special Issue will showcase the depth, diversity, and global relevance of parasitological research in African settings. We invite submissions on topics including (but not limited to):
β Hostβparasite interactions
β Vector biology & ecology
β Zoonoses & One Health
β Wildlife, veterinary & aquatic parasitology
β Disease surveillance & control strategies
β Molecular biology, genomics & proteomics
β Climate & environmental drivers of parasite distribution
β Capacity-building & collaboration in African parasitology

Selected contributions will also draw on work presented at the conference on wildlife parasites.
