📻 Exciting news — another spin for Johnny Burgos on BBC Radio 6 Music this weekend, making it two weeks in a row!

Huge thanks to Cerys Matthews for playing ‘Caught Up’ on her show yesterday morning 🌅

In times that often feel divided, it’s really powerful to see a song about unity finding its place and connecting with so many people. We’re truly grateful for all the support 🖤

Have you had a chance to listen yet? If not, the link’s in the bio! And stay tuned — more music from Johnny is landing this week.

Thanks so much to Blues & Soul Magazine for their lovely review of our debut album ‘Spinning’!

In his legendary ‘Check It Out’ column, northern soul champion Frank Elson compares us to some of our favourite artists Patrice Rushen, Earth, Wind & Fire and Prince, before concluding that “None of these tracks are copies… They are inescapably The 7:45s”

Frank adds “‘Too Little Too Late” is Northern Soul. No, really. Stick this on… in any Northern Soul club and you will collectors crowding ‘round the DJ console asking what and who” – which means a lot from the magazine that first printed the term Northern Soul!

Marky Lewis - Producer also gets his flowers for this “superbly soulful production”

Haven’t you heard the album yet? Check it out here: https://lrkrecords.bandcamp.com/album/spinning

An honour to share pages with the amazing Jalen Ngonda!

“It’s not been off my turntable”

Massive thanks to Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club for inviting us to DJ a 30-minute ‘Trunk of Funk’ set on Saturday’s show!

We played two of our own songs – ‘Tell Me No Lies’ and ‘The Music’s Always There for You’ and Craig shouted out the album, saying “I’ve just been playing it to death”

Check out the album here https://lrkrecords.bandcamp.com/album/spinning

We also played a mix of homemade radio edits of funk, soul and disco songs that inspired our debut album Spinning

📣 Big moment for LRK this weekend! LRK made waves on the — with four LRK tracks played, including a special 'Trunk of Funk' takeover by our very own The 7:45s .They handpicked some absolute heaters, two of which are from their album 👀.

On top of that, two more LRK releases made the cut: Rory Hoy ft. with 'Take All Your Lovin' and Run' was played again, and ’s 'Caught Up' got its first BBC play. Craig gave LRK a big shoutout a few times during the show and even called Johnny Burgos an essential LRK release, comparing him to Marvin Gaye! 🙌

Massive thanks to Craig for the love, and to everyone supporting what we do. The 7:45s will be sharing more about their Trunk of Funk picks tomorrow, but we had to shout this out today.

If you missed it, you can listen back on BBC Sounds — just search 'Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show – 26th July.'

💥 Soul’s in good hands.
