Been looking forward to this!

Don't miss our new premier today at 2pm on the Carp Academy YouTube channel.

This film explores the foundation of ESP, the role played by Terry Hearn and the development of the Stiff Hinge. This lead to the first dedicated Stiff Rig materials made available anywhere in the world - a proper bit of carp fishing history!

I also talk about Rob Maylin's influence and the brilliant Swimmer Rig before doing a deep dive into the deadly Flying Chod.

🎥 Some very exciting episodes coming your way…

I’m incredibly excited to share some of the upcoming episodes we’ve been working on, featuring some truly inspiring characters and some very special stories from the world of carp fishing.

🥇 Episode 1 — Martin Locke

First up, we have an hour-long episode with former World Record holder and carp fishing legend Martin Locke, who talks exclusively about his incredible world record from the mighty Rainbow. 🌈

I still feel incredibly lucky that Martin gave me the opportunity to sit down with him and hear the story behind such a remarkable piece of carp fishing history.

🇮🇹 Episode 2 — Sir Frank

Next up is another carp fishing legend, Sir Frank, this time talking all about his Italian adventures.

From some of his favourite captures and lifelong friendships to plenty of funny stories along the way, this is a brilliant insight into his time fishing in Italy — and a proper enjoyable one to film.

🎣 Episode 3 — Chris Douce

For the third episode, I travelled up to the Cotswolds to spend some time with the one and only BFG, Chris Douce.

Everything I’d ever been told about Chris being an absolute gentleman proved to be true — although at 6ft 7”, he certainly lives up to the BFG nickname! 😂

We recorded a really special episode focusing on his fishing adventures with his twin daughters, and it’s honestly one of my favourite episodes I’ve filmed.

Three very different stories, three incredible anglers, and some genuinely special conversations.

I feel very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to capture these stories, and I can’t wait for you all to see them.
