The best late Autumn afternoon up in the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons).

It was so quiet. Hardly a soul around. The colours of the trees were extraordinary.
It had rained last night so the waterfalls had power.
The Monmouth Brecon canal which runs for about 80 miles was crystal clear and we could easily see to the bottom.

I love walking on the canal. It is truly the best. Overhanging trees. Lots of ducks.

You know when you feel like you're in a magical secret fairyland and it's all just waiting to be enjoyed...well it was one of those afternoons.

I used to walk here twice a week pre covid and then the trips kind of diminished and then I got "too busy".

Now my "happy and healthy matrix" is returning I'm not working 7 days a week. Gym, iv drips, hyperbaric oxygen to get me better from the inside, walking round our beautiful city, and this is the final piece of the happy jigsaw.

I've missed yr Fannau (the Beacons) so much.

Just strolling along with my mate at our pace. No race. No pressure. Just breathing in the sounds and the air and the beauty of it all.

My generation was born and brought up at a time when our parents and grandparents had lived and fought through both wars.

Both wars were real to all of them.
The sacrifices, the scars, the way the world didn't change....until it did.
Their pain echoes still
They had no choice, so that we could enjoy the freedom of that choice.

They died for our freedoms 🖤
Please don't squander them ❤️

One of the most popular ways to keep women down is to criticise how they look and what they wear. The trolls do it endlessly to all women. God they’re dull. The same obviously doesn’t happen to men.

Many newspapers will play the same card.... So that women feel threatened by how people might view them.

Judgments made and affirmed about a woman and her personality depending on what she wears.

It’s a technique as old as the hills.

When I was aged 39 in the year 2000 I wore a short blue Ungaro designer dress to the Baftas. Well, you’d have thought I’d committed a heinous crime against humanity.

Certain newspapers screamed headlines for about a year.
The BBC made a whole show about it. They flew in a copy of the dress from Paris and the audience argued viciously about the question posed.

What waa the question?

SHOULD A WOMAN AGED 39 WEAR A DRESS ABOVE THE KNEE?

Yes. Really. That was the question. This wasn’t Victorian times. It was in this century. In this country.

Obviously I chose to keep on wearing skirts above the knee. And keep going to the gym. And saying what I want to say.

And the naysayers can “go and do one”.

But a WARNING girls.

Right now in the UK women’s freedoms have never been as good BUT unless you support each other properly many of those freedoms will be scrapped or reduced. There are millions who would take all that away from you.

Women before me, and also women of my generation and others have waded through a lot of crap so that our daughters and your daughters have these freedoms.

Please fight to continue them.
I’ll fight alongside you but we must do it together. It only works that way.

TRUMP WINS
American voters have decided

From January after his inauguration, Trump’s policy is to introduce huge 20% tariffs on foreign goods to “protect American factories and production”.

These tariffs will be applied to goods made and supplied by the UK, which will become instantly more expensive for Americans to buy.

America is the largest export market (country) for rhe UK so when that happens....exports will shrink

So when factories start to close here and people get even poorer have a think about that

The Farage/Reform/Robinson trifecta welcome it...oh and let's not forget Boris Johnson too. They sold you Brexit on lies, and see where that has got us all.
40 new hospitals? £350million a week more to the NHS? Yeah right

So for all of the right wing in the UK celebrating Trump's victory....I find it extraordinary that your hatred of some overpowers the damage you actively want to inflict on your own

But the boats, the boats ...or should we say “the bait”...

US ELECTION

Today, America completes voting, and it’s shaping up to be a historic election! 🇺🇸 More than half of those registered have already cast their votes, showing just how engaged the electorate is.

My predictions are:

1️⃣ Harris will win by a Shock Landslide! 🎉 Women are turning out in their tens of millions to support Harris because their freedoms are paramount. This surge of support could propel her to a shock landslide victory as each state operates on a first past the post basis !

2️⃣ Trump Facing Legal Consequences? With the possibility of being in jail by Christmas after being convicted of 34 felonies and with more legal cases pending, we may be witnessing a significant shift in the political landscape for years to come. When Trump loses there will be similar upset to the over here and then it will calm down.
