First full day of the summer holidays here and we are resting and recharging. Robin has made himself a cosy nest/sleeping bag and I'm working on one of my many granny square Blankets.

It's grey and a bit mizzly outside. Perfect getting cosy indoors weather.. and typical British summer holidays weather 🤣

Something new from me today: a pretty dress for my baby niece who has just turned one.
Got the pieces cut out today and will treat myself to a sewing session next week to put it together

The Arrowhead Tunic is underway for my niece for Christmas. Pattern is from this stunning book from Search Press.

I'm using Signature 4ply.

It has been a wonderful inspiring weekend spending time at for the summer conference. So many exciting books coming out across the range.

Our first radish harvest!
Robin was so excited then looked at it very seriously and said "I think it needs to grow more a little bit!"

Second year of attempting to grow veg and by far the most successful one we've tried.

Thank you for a lovely morning
I spent a happy couple of hours chatting books and finished up being able to have a go at making this gorgeous gerbera from Prudence Rogers book: The Bouquet in a Book

Robin immediately gasped in delight and said "oh mummy I so much love it is it for me?" So I guess I've lost that one haha.

The book is such a clever concept: the pages are pre punched for you to push out and male everything you see on the cover!

Can't wait for the winter version!

I'll be making some more soon and will be sure to share them with you all.

My first finish since April!

The snowball is melting. I don't think this approach is necessarily for me.

On the plus side I now have a snazzy new pair of socks.

And I had a lovely chat with a friend when I put my pride aside ro ask for help with a pattern that had held me captive for WEEKS and almost had me frogging the lot and giving away my needles!
