It’s More Than Just a Mood Trend

There’s a reason you feel uplifted when your feet touch the ground.

When your soles meet the soil, something ancient awakens within you, a gentle remembering, a cellular hum. Your body realigns. Your mind exhales. Your spirit re-roots.

This isn’t just romanticism, it’s biology, really.
Let’s delve into the science and the soul of it…

🔬 The Science of Earthing (a.k.a. Grounding)

🐾Barefoot contact with natural earth, grass, soil, sand, allows free electrons from the earth’s surface to flow into the body. These electrons act as antioxidants, neutralising excess free radicals and reducing inflammation. Indeed, your feet are conductors in the most magical sense.

Proven Benefits of Earthing:

🧠 Reduces cortisol and regulates stress hormones

Walk slowly, mindfully. Let the world soften.

Feeling tired, scattered, or overwhelmed? It’s okay to press pause. Yoga teaches us something profound: rest isn’t a weakness, it’s wisdom.

🌿When you step onto your mat, it’s not about forcing or performing. It’s about listening. Some days, that means holding a Warrior pose with fierce strength. Other days, it’s surrendering into Child’s Pose and letting your breath lead the way.

In yoga and in life, rest is part of the journey, not the end of it. Recovery helps us heal, reset, and return stronger. Gentle stretches, mindful breathing, and restorative postures release tension, calm the mind, and restore clarity, especially when the world feels a little too loud.

Our Summer Solstice celebrations take on a Mediterranean vibes in 2025 with my sweet friend : Elena of Soul of the Earth, the ‘AWAKENING THE WOLF WITHIN’ retreat being all about personal growth, and I'm ready to dive in.

Go beyond the mat and evolve within. 🌱 Our new Aerial Yoga sessions are designed to help you learn, grow, and flow in a way that feels light, freeing, and most importantly…. fun! 🤸🏻‍♂️

I have seen people change their entire mental being in the experiences that take them out of their comfort zone -
🧘🏼‍♀️✨You may have heard me say:
When the world feels upside down; Feet up!
It works! But if the literal flipping fills you with dread, there are options for you to create the experience your way so you can evolve at your own pace. This session is there to help you build trust in yourself and your practice. I love my hammock - and the restful lightness resonates for days after.

Yoga isn’t about doing the poses, it’s about mindfully moving so that you can Be Yoga. 🧘🏼‍♀️

That’s why we use props; they support us, guide us, and invite us to experience every moment of our practice more deeply. The aerial hammock is like an extension of your body, giving you the freedom to float, twist, and stretch, while also offering a gentle hug when you need it. Think of it as your ‘go go gadget’ body parts.

Let the Light Find You…
Open your heart. Even if it trembles.

There is something sacred about surrendering to the forest. About letting the Earth hold your feet as you rise, chest lifted to the skies, arms reaching back in trust.
Finding myself here wrapped in the green hush of the trees, my body curving into a heart-opening backbend, hands sculpted into Kali Mudra, a symbol of fierce feminine transformation.

This pose is an expression of devotion and courage.
A backbend Anuvittasana (Standing Backbend) softens the chest, expands the lungs, awakens the spine, and stretches the heart space wide open. It’s a bold invitation to let go of fear and to embody love not just receive it, but become it.

With palms interlaced, index fingers pointed in 🙏🏻Kali Mudra, to channel the energy of Goddess Kali, the remover of illusion, the fearless destroyer of all that keeps us small. This mudra empowers to cut through the darkness and let the light in. It’s about saying yes to transformation, even if it's wild and untamed.

How to embody this moment:
🌸Stand tall in Tadasana (Mountain Pose), grounding into Mother Earth.
🌳 Interlace your fingers and point the index fingers forward in 🙏🏻Kali Mudra, drawing your arms overhead.
🌸Press the hips gently forward as you lift through the heart, arching back with breath and grace.
🌳Let the head follow the curve of the spine, and soften the face.
🌙Breathe. Feel. Receive.

This is more than a shape, it’s declaration of surrender:
🗣️I am open. I am ready. I remember who I am.

🌳May you find a forest within yourself today, and may you open your heart wide enough for the light to come rushing in.

As we embrace the beauty of spring, let's take a moment to connect our yoga practice with the energy of the season. Each Wednesday, we celebrate the arrival of new beginnings and the vibrant energy that comes with it or maybe just a check point to make sure we are not getting lost under the weight of the world so we can address these with self love.
