Last year, when we worked with Winmau Darts and Professional Darts Corporation, we were tasked with bringing the world of pro darts to a younger and newer audience.

Our strategy was to create a visual identity tailored for motion. Something that could stand on its own and also be rolled out across branded video content.

We spent a few days in the studio filming with Luke Humphries and Mark Webster, running through throwing techniques, pro tips, routines, and more. We paired this footage with our motion system and... the rest is history.

From sketch to animation, we're all about the process. For this project, our approach focused on capturing the tone of The Fostering Network's wellbeing programme with care and sensitivity. It was important to reflect the experiences of the care-experienced young people involved, ensuring the stories were told in a gentle, respectful way that kept the narrative at the centre.

Last year, we partnered with The Fostering Network to create a visual identity and character style for their Fostering Wellbeing initiative, an innovative programme funded by the Welsh Government. Designed to improve wellbeing outcomes for children and young people, the programme champions equality for everyone in the ‘team around the child’, including foster carers.

Our brief was to develop an identity that could be used across both motion and static content. We developed a soft, approachable colour palette and a character style that would resonate with young people while still being respectful of the subject matter.

We're taking a look back at the video and motion design campaign we put together for Winmau Darts and Professional Darts Corporation earlier this year. This one was a great collaborative effort. Not just between our motion and video teams but between us and the awesome guys at Winmau and the PDC.

We kicked off this project by developing a visual identity for the series. The objective was to appeal to a younger audience while portraying the excitement and energy of pro darts. The identity was built for motion and tied in nicely with the video edit to bring everything together.
