A 20-year-old from Cardiff is quietly building one of Wales' fastest-growing car businesses - and he's doing it with a team of young locals.🚗⚡️

Cardiff-born entrepreneur Morgan Wilce started Birchwood Motors after flipping his first car at 14. In just a few years, he's grown it into a seven-figure used car dealership based in Cardiff, offering around 60 cars at any one time.

Birchwood Motors is all about giving young people a shot in the motor trade and making the whole car-buying experience feel more honest, relaxed and up to date.

"Age doesn't define ability. Talent just needs a platform, and Birchwood Motors is that platform," Morgan says.

Mae Stephens is coming to Clwb Ifor Bach 🎶

Alt-pop artist Mae Stephens has announced her first ever UK tour for Spring 2026 - with a Cardiff date at Clwb Ifor Bach on Friday 27 March.

The run is backed by Music Venue Trust’s Liveline Fund, a grassroots initiative that uses contributions from stadium and arena ticket sales (with artists like Sam Fender, Katy Perry, Enter Shikari and Coldplay involved) to support independent venues, touring artists and local promoters across the UK.

Mae, whose viral hit ‘If We Ever Broke Up’ has racked up over 500 million streams, will be bringing her alt-pop sound back to the grassroots rooms that help shape artists at the start of their careers - including one of Cardiff’s most iconic small venues.

New data suggests December will be a defining month for Cardiff city centre 🎄

Fresh retail insights from Beauclair, shared by FOR Cardiff, show:

• October sales in Cardiff were down -2.5% year-on-year - but still outperforming the UK benchmark of -4.1%
• Fashion (+2.4%) and Food & Drink (+1.2%) are expected to lead a December surge in spending
• Shoppers are more cautious and value-driven - making Black Friday, Cyber Monday and festive events more important than ever

To support businesses at this crucial moment, FOR Cardiff has launched new A Very Cardiff Christmas light projections at Cardiff Market and Cardiff Central Station, alongside late-night shopping and an expanded Weekend Park & Ride - all designed to draw visitors into the city, keep them longer and support local traders ✨
