Wildstar Films are hiring an experienced Location Edit Assistant for a 4–5 week shoot in Mexico (9 Nov–15 Dec), including time on a liveaboard boat.

Duties: media backup/transcode, Avid project prep, on-location tech support, sequence assemblies, sync maps & timelines.

Requirements: proven Edit Assistant experience (post & location), strong Avid/DaVinci skills, solid workflows/codec knowledge, problem-solving under pressure.

Full-time. Interviews in Bristol w/c 6 Oct.

Jess from Post Super recently sat down with Sophie Freeman from The Film and TV Charity to discuss the Whole Picture Toolkit. Sophie explained how the toolkit works and highlighted its value as a practical resource for productions.

The Whole Picture Toolkit is a mental health framework designed to support healthier, fairer workplaces across film and TV. It offers clear steps and resources in key areas:

Leadership & Culture – fostering openness and setting a positive tone.
Recruitment – encouraging transparent, fair, and inclusive hiring.
Working Practices – promoting fair hours, manageable workloads, and respect.
Training & Support – providing wellbeing training and signposting help.
Planning Ahead – embedding wellbeing at every stage of production.

Adaptable to productions of all sizes, the toolkit aims to reduce stress and burnout while helping build a more inclusive and sustainable industry.
