HMRC has proposed changes to Self Assessment that could affect many self-employed workers across the creative industries. Some freelancers and representative organisations have raised concerns about the potential impact on administrative workload, cash flow and those with irregular income.

Bectu is encouraging members to take part in the consultation and share their views. If you're self-employed, this is an opportunity to help ensure the realities of freelance work are reflected in any future changes.
