Remembering the great man on his birthday...Johnny Cash...One of the sound tracks of my entire childhood, as Cash was a favourite of my fathers, so I absorbed the man in black long before I cut my teeth on his songs as I struggled to learn guitar… but like most of the world I lost touch with him until the American Recordings brought him back into the main stream again and we were treated to this aged monolith of a voice covering a brilliant diverse range of songs. I was hooked again and read biographies and listened and I still shed a tear each time I see the video of Hurt…

Just remembering Tim Buckley”s Birthday on Valentines day and would like to post my portrait to him...
I saw Tim first on The Old Grey Whistle Test one night and was captivated...but it was not until a few years when one Christmas I treated myself to Tim’s ‘Dream Letter live in London.’ I was on my own in a bedsit in Nottingham and I put this CD on…I was transfixed to the bed where I sat and didn’t move for the entire first CD…So moved, I had to go out and just walk around in the snow…when I returned I played the second CD and wept during Wayfaring Stranger…it just does not get better than this…
