🖋️ For this illustration we wanted to highlight "Eagle Reintroduction Wales" with these illustrations of the majestic White-tailed Eagles.

🦅 White-tailed Eagles suffered intense human persecution, as landowners wanted all birds of prey destroyed and White-tailed Eagles were labelled as livestock killers like many other birds of prey, which caused population extinction in Wales by 1830 and the wider UK landscape by 1916.

🧐 The Eagle Reintroduction Wales Project (ERW) is exploring the feasibility of reintroducing lost eagle species to Wales. Once a common sight in Welsh skies, both the Golden Eagle and White-tailed Eagle have been absent for over 150 years, despite suitable habitats. Led by Welsh raptor conservationist Dr Sophie-lee Williams, the project aims to restore White-tailed Eagles back to historic homes in partnership with Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, Wild About Gwent and WILDFOWL AND WETLANDS TRUST.

✨ You can get involved in the restoration of White-tailed Eagles to Southeast Wales and the Severn Estuary by taking part in their Public Opinion Survey and/or registering for one of their Project Workshops.

Our Creative Director Anthony had the opportunity to be interviewed by the Key Worker Nation to share our experience working on the series of Digitising Social Care animations and raising awareness of the care sector.

We've decided to take a break from social media to fully focus on being present with our loved ones and enjoy a bit of a digital detox. It's our birthday...it's our birthday 🎶 🥳

Well, it's technically tomorrow but we're celebrating a day early before the weekend 😆

As we blow out the candles on our 3rd birthday, we can't help but reflect on the whirlwind of adventures we've had since then!

We've stumbled again and again but through it all, we've learned invaluable lessons that have shaped us into the spirited, passionate and growing studio we are today.

But this journey wouldn't have been half as incredible without the wonderful people who've stood by us every step of the way. 🙌

🐧 Illustration #20 ✨

journey's end is here, and we couldn't think of a better way to wrap it up than by putting the spotlight on our cherished team member's family – the African Penguins! 🐧🐧🐧

These feathered friends are facing an uphill battle, with their population plummeting by nearly 70% in just three generations, from 82,000 to 25,000 individuals. Today, only 2% of their once thriving numbers remain. Activities like oil and gas drilling, mining, overfishing, and unregulated harvesting of aquatic resources, pose significant threats to this magnificent species.

Fighting this battle for the penguins is the GLOBAL PENGUIN SOCIETY (GPS). They are working tirelessly to protect these penguins and their precious coastal habitats.

Can you guess the organisation that we are highlighting from today's illustration?

It's The Wildlife Trusts✨ They work tirelessly to restore, recreate and reconnect nature on land and at sea in the UK, Isle of Man and Alderney. We wanted to illustrate a badger which has been the Trust's totem for almost a quarter of a century!

According to the 2023 Report, the UK is one of the most nature-depleted countries on the planet and it’s only getting worse 📉

✨ Earlier this month Five Beavers were released in Ealing as part of rewilding London 🦫🦫🦫

In celebration of this amazing initiative by Rewild Britain, we've illustrated a Beaver for this illustration. Rewilding Britain is a charity dedicated to creating a wilder Britain that improves lives for people, nature and the climate.

Beavers were hunted to extinction in Britain 400 years ago for fur, glands and meat, but were reintroduced in England and Wales several years ago.

The presence of beavers can deliver a wide range of advantages such as;

🦫 By building dams they create new wetland habitats that benefit a host of other species ranging from fish to fungi.

🦫 Dams can also reduce flood risk, increase water storage and improve water quality.

🌊🐢 Sea turtles, remarkable ocean dwellers with a history dating back to the age of dinosaurs, are now facing a grave threat.

Today, it's disheartening to know that 6 out of 7 sea turtle species are teetering on the brink of extinction, all due to the impact of humanity. 😔

To raise awareness of this, we've illustrated the majestic Green Sea Turtle for today's illustration.

Dedicated to saving these endangered marine life is the organisation called the Captain Paul Watson Foundation UK, formally known as Sea Shepherd UK. They are a global non-profit organisation dedicated to marine conservation. Through their direct action campaigns, they strive to protect our oceans from illegal exploitation and environmental destruction, ensuring the preservation of our delicately balanced marine ecosystems.
