Llongyfarchiadau mawr i Sarah Lianne Lewis a wnaeth ennill Medal y Cyfansoddwr yn Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Wrecsam nos Sadwrn!
Roedd proses blwyddyn yma, gyda’r cyfansoddwyr restr fer – Jonathan Guy, Owain Gruffudd Roberts, a Sarah Lianne Lewis – i gyd yn creu darnau newydd, wedi bod yn bleser trwy gydol. Trwy weithio gydag offerynwyr Sinfonia Cymru a’r mentor-cyfansoddwr Pwyll ap Siôn, yr oedd y tri darn a gaeth ei berfformiadau cyhoeddus cyntaf ar lwyfan y Pafiliwn (ac wedi’i ddarlledu’n fyw ar S4C: https://www.s4c.cymru/clic/programme/946868900 ) yn gryf tu hwnt. Huge congratulations to Sarah Lianne Lewis who won the Medal y Cyfansoddwr prize at the Wrexham National Eisteddfod on Friday!
The process this year, with the shortlisted composers – Jonathan Guy, Owain Gruffudd Roberts, and Sarah Lianne Lewis – all creating their new works, has been a pleasure throughout. Through working with the players from Sinfonia Cymru and mentor-composer Pwyll ap Siôn, the three pieces receiving their premieres on the stage of the Pavilion (and broadcast live on S4C: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p0lsf0xr/eisteddfod-genedlaethol-cymru-cyfres-2025-seremoni-tlws-y-cerddor ) were extremely strong.
