I don’t normally sell physical products on bandcamp and today will be no exception.

But today is bandcamp Friday and a lot of bands on Brassneck DO sell merch and music that way, so there's no better time to go and pick up some new merch or music without "the man" taking a chunk of the bands' money when you purchase.

Those of you who caught R.U.B on their UK tour back in April this year already know this is something to be excited about, but for those of you who didn't, let me fill you in. R.U.B are from Naarm, Australia. They are a raging powerhouse of aggressive femme punk who have spent the last few years releasing some of my absolute favourite music. With that in mind, here is a super-rare single-track flexi disc featuring the song 'Tell Me Why' from their "Unaddressed Culture" mini album alongside an 8 page zine-style sleeve. Brassneck has just 20 of these in the UK. 10 clear and 10 red and every one of them essential. Do not miss this band!

TWO NEW RECORDS ARE OUT TODAY!

Custody – 3.1 7” (gold or black vinyl)

I don't want to live in a world where the idea of 3 new Custody songs doesn't excite everyone. That probably sounds dramatic and maybe it is, but I'm just happy they've released new music. If you're reading this and aren't happy or excited too, please go and stream this thing somewhere. Hell, maybe even buy a record. Treat yourself. You deserve it.

Novacane – Novacane 7” (blue vinyl)

In 2025, Manchester's Novacane released their debut EP 'That Numbing Feeling' and now, a little over a year later, they're back with their self-titled follow up. Upon listening, it's clear that a lot has happened in this last year. Still in their late teens at the time of the debut, Novacane have clearly spent time since then honing their craft. These 4 new songs, while still unmistakably them, see the band ramp up both their songwriting and playing chops to provide us with more Northern punk rock with a diverse range of influences both within and outside of the genre. Not afraid to do their own thing, this is a band who are growing fast. Get in early and check out this new record from a young UK DIY band you're going to be hearing more from in the future.

A few more Japanese releases have been added to the distro today. This time from ROADSIDE RECORDS!

Several CDs from the amazing Stupid Plots as well as a few Eps from SAKURA (who some of you will recognise as the lead singer of BEDGRAVITY And on the subject of bedgravity, there are only 2 copies of their LP left at Brassneck right now so maybe grab one of those too if you haven’t already.
There’s also an appearance from THE VEEVERS (Identity, Funbug, Angry Bombs, etc) who did a split album with Stupid Plots.
All excellent stuff that’s well worth a listen. And there's several hundred different punk records in store too of course, so fill yer boots!

It's CROC FEST 4 in Liverpool tomorrow. Lots of great bands and lots of great people are going to be there. £20 on the door allows you to see all of the bands listed on the flyer plus access to some of the best pizza in the city.
Hopefully I'll see a load of you there...
