Mae Lewis Hemmings, cyn-ddisgybl o Ystalyfera (2016–2021), bellach yn gweithio ym maes ffilm a theledu yn yr adran gamera ar gyfres newydd, Old Town Murders sy’n gamp arbennig! Yn fwy arbennig fyth, mae’n gweithio ochr yn ochr â chyn-ddisgybl arall, Steffan Rhodri – wyneb cyfarwydd o Gavin and Stacey, Harry Potter a llawer mwy! Dau gyn-ddisgybl ar un set teledu!

Rydym mor falch o weld ein cyn-ddisgyblion yn llwyddo ac yn dal i deimlo balchder yn eu hysgol. 🌟

We love hearing from our former pupils and seeing where their journeys have taken them! 🎬✨

Lewis Hemmings, a former pupil of Ystalyfera (2016–2021), is now working in film and television in the camera department on a new series, Old Town Murders. A fantastic opportunity! Even more special, he is working alongside another former pupil, Steffan Rhodri – known for Gavin and Stacey, Harry Potter and much more! Two past pupils on one TV set!

We are incredibly proud to see our former pupils thriving and still feeling proud of where they started. 🌟

✨Mae Sgil Cymru, Cymru Greadigol, BBC Studios Drama Productions a Screen Alliance Wales (SAW) yn partneru i barhau â llwyddiant y ddwy flynedd ddiwethaf o ‘Siop Un Stop – One Stop Shop’, y Clwstwr Sgiliau BFI i Gymru sy’n cefnogi datblygu gweithlu sector cynhyrchu sgrin y genedl.

Mae’r BFI wedi cyhoeddi cyllid o £11.85m dros dair blynedd i gefnogi datblygu sgiliau a hyfforddiant ar draws canolfannau cynhyrchu allweddol y DU. Mae hyn yn cynnwys £900,000 i Siop Un Stop – One Stop Shop, y Clwstwr Sgiliau BFI yng Nghymru. Mae’r cyllid Loteri Genedlaethol BFI hwn yn cefnogi sefydliadau sy’n gweithio o fewn prif ganolfannau cynhyrchu’r DU, fel Cymru, i gymryd yr awenau ar ddatblygu a chyflwyno sgiliau a hyfforddiant is-y-lein ar gyfer eu meysydd.

Sgil Cymru, Creative Wales, BBC Studios Drama Productions and Screen Alliance Wales (SAW) partner to continue the success of the last two years of the ‘Siop Un Stop – One Stop Shop’, the BFI Skills Cluster for Wales supporting workforce development of the nation’s screen production sector.


The BFI has announced £11.85m funding over three years to support skills development and training across the UK’s key production hubs. This includes £900,000 to Siop Un Stop – One Stop Shop, the BFI Skills Cluster in Wales. This BFI National Lottery funding supports organisations working within the UK’s major production hubs, such as Wales, to take the lead on developing and delivering below-the-line skills and training for their areas.

Siop Un Stop – One Stop Shop will receive additional funding from Creative Wales and BBC Studios Drama Productions.
