✨Digwyddiad Hyfforddeion ar gyfer Cynhyrchiad Severn Screen | Trainee Event for a Severn Screen Production✨

(English below)

Ar fore dydd Sadwrn, roedd Sgil Cymru a Siop Un Stop-One Stop Shop yn rhan o ddigwyddiad ym Mhafiliwn Grange gyda Culture Connect Wales, Screen Alliance Wales, Academi Sgrin Cymru a Severn Screen. Roedd yn gyfle arbennig i gwrdd â phobl oedd am weithio fel hyfforddeion ar gynhyrchiad newydd Severn Screen.

Daeth nifer o bobl i ymuno gyda ni ac roedd yn gyfle gwych i rwydweithio, dysgu mwy am Severn Screen a chwrdd â chymaint o bobl greadigol frwdfrydig yn ne Cymru.

Diolch hefyd i Cymru Greadigol sydd yn cyllido Siop Un Stop-One Stop Shop a'r prosiect yma gyda Severn Screen!

On Saturday morning, Sgil Cymru and Siop Un Stop-One Stop Shop took part in an event at the Grange Pavilion alongside Culture Connect Wales, Screen Alliance Wales, Wales Screen Academy and Severn Screen. It was a special opportunity to meet people interested in working as trainees on Severn Screen’s new production.

Lots of people came to join us and it was a fantastic opportunity to network, learn more about Severn Screen and meet so many enthusiastic creative people in South Wales.

Thanks also to Creative Wales who help to fund Siop Un Stop-One Stop Shop and also gave funding to this project with Severn Screen.

🏆Gwobrau Ember Screen Craft Guild Cymru 2026 | Screen Craft Guild Cymru's Ember Awards 2026🏆

(English below)

Roedd hi'n bleser mawr mynychu seremoni gyntaf Gwobrau Ember, a drefnwyd gan Screen Craft Guild Cymru nos Sul. Roedd yn noson arbennig iawn!

Roeddem hefyd yn falch iawn bod Sgil Cymru wedi cael y cyfle i noddi'r wobr 'Craft Ally', a aeth yn haeddiannol iawn i Jerry Lockett.

Ers dros ddegawd, rydym wedi cael y fraint o hyfforddi prentisiaid crefft — gan weld talent yn datblygu, hyder yn cynyddu, a dyfodol creadigol yn cymryd siâp. Dyna pam mae'r wobr hon mor bwysig i ni. Fel Screen Craft Guild Cymru, rydym yn credu yng ngrym y bobl sy'n cefnogi talent newydd a thalent sydd eisoes wedi hen sefydlu: y mentoriaid, y hyrwyddwyr a'r cynghreiriaid sy'n gweld potensial, yn meithrin uchelgais, ac yn helpu eraill i ddod yn artistiaid y cawsant eu geni i fod.

Mae'r math hwnnw o gefnogaeth yn newid bywydau ac yn cryfhau ein diwydiant; mae'n haeddu cael ei gydnabod, ei ddathlu a'i hyrwyddo. Mae'n anrhydedd i ni chwarae rhan yn hynny oll. Diolch i Screen Craft Guild Cymru am noson wych o ddathlu!

It was such a pleasure to attend the inaugural Ember Awards hosted by Screen Craft Guild Cymru on Sunday evening. What a fantastic night!

We were also very proud that Sgil Cymru got to sponsor the award for Craft Ally which was so deservedly awarded to Jerry Lockett.

For more than a decade, we’ve had the privilege of training craft apprentices — watching talent grow, confidence ignite, and creative futures take shape. That is why this award matters so much to us. Like Screen Craft Guild Cymru, we believe in the power of people who stand beside emerging and existing talent: the mentors, champions and allies who see potential, nurture ambition, and help others become the artists they were meant to be.

That kind of support changes lives, strengthens our industry, and deserves to be recognised, celebrated and championed. We are honoured to play our part in making that happen. Diolch to Screen Craft Guild Cymru for a fantastic evening of celebration!
